I’ve begun research on a new project, an artwork that will examine ice as scientific, cultural, and aesthetic phenomenon.

In this work, I’m thinking about glaciers as a tesseract, a four-dimensional space-time object containing the preterite time axis of Earth’s climatological history.

I will be working with several scientist developing material for the project. One of these is the physicist Ken Libbrecht at CalTech. Dr. Libbrecht grows snowflakes to study their crystalline structure.
